I’m Laura :)

I’m a photographer with a background — and degree, hook ’em! — in photojournalism. My work spans film and entertainment, events, portraits, travel, and lifestyle photography.

I love people, and getting to know them has always come naturally to me. I’m often told that within minutes, it feels like we’ve known each other forever. That translates into my photography, too — I have a knack for putting people at ease and, ideally, making them forget there’s a camera in the room. That’s when I find the moments I love most. Whether I’m working quietly on a film set, moving through an event, or photographing someone one-on-one, I know when to blend into the background and when to connect.

I’m always looking for the moments in between — the expressions, interactions, details, and bits of personality that might otherwise go unnoticed. I want my photographs to feel natural and honest, thoughtful and visually compelling — but most of all, like the people and moments they belong to.

Based between Austin, TX, Mammoth Lakes, CA & Los Angeles, CA - and always happy to travel!
